Paris in 3 days: Day 1

Posted on

I just came home from Paris, and I took about 1600 photos just in those three days!  I went with my older sister + her two friends.  Here are the highlights from my first day in Paris:

After a LONG train ride from Oxford to Paris, we got to paris around noon and took the metro to the Musee d'Orsay.  This is a beautiful museum, but I wouldn't recommend going to this one in the morning (lines are much longer)  It was raining when we got to the Orsay, but the sky cleared up as we reached our next destination...

After we got a Nutella crepe, next was the Musee Rodin, which is one of my favourite things in all of Paris.  It's a beautiful museum, plus the flowers in the gardens are gorgeous!

By this point we were exhausted, so we decided to stop by our hotel to drop some things off. (which btw our hotel was much nicer than it looks on their site)

We were super lucky to have a view of the Eiffel Tower from our hotel window. (which we didn't even pay extra for!)

The Arc de Triomphe was so nice, but it was closed early on the day we went, so we made plans to go back again.  We strolled down Champs Elysees for a while and I bought something from Zara (to be posted later!)

We were starving and exhausted by this time, and so we got pizza at a restaurant called Amalfi on our street.  That was the end of day one for us!
