London Fashion Week AW16 // Part One

Posted on

Day one of London Fashion Week was quite crazy, I was able to attend the Felder Felder, Eudon Choi, Bora Aksu, Edeline Lee, and PPQ shows...

Friday the 19th was the first day of LFW, and definitely my most packed day as the shows started up. This season has been super exciting, and things have definitely changed since my very first time at LFW basically exactly a year ago!  The day started with the Felder Felder show at Freemason's Hall.

Felder Felder (designed by twin sisters!) had kind of a "rocker chic" aesthetic, complete with metallics, bright prints, and cool matching sets.

Next I headed ran to Brewer Street Carpark for the Eudon Choi show (can't believe I made it in time!).  Eudon Choi is a designer I've always wanted to see, and I was definitely not disappointed.  I was blown away by his latest collection, which had clean geometric prints, minimalist colours, and some very contemporary silhouettes.

I found myself running (yes, again) to the Bora Aksu show, which was at the St. Andrew Holborn church a couple miles away.  His show was incredible, I liked the dark Victorian vibes and the way he stuck to similar textures as previous seasons.

After the Bora Aksu show I went to the Edeline Lee presentation.  I couldn't miss this presentation because I remembered being very impressed last season.  I loved the black and white looks, but my favourite looks of the presentation happened to be the coloured pieces.

I spent some time getting food and stopping by presentations, then afterwards I went back to the St. Andrew Holborn church to see the PPQ show.  It kind of occurred to me that PPQ changes direction quite a bit from season to season, so I was excited to see what they were up to for this collection.  I loved the coats at the end and they had some stunning and unique pieces that I could totally see myself wearing.

Stay tuned for part two of LFW!

xo,
Emma
