48 Hours in The Lake District

Posted on

I've heard a lot about the Lake District, so we headed four hours north (well, five and a half hours in  Bank Holiday traffic) to see what it's all about...

The first day we spent kayaking out on Windermere lake and then took a walk around another lake called Tarn Hows (which totally reminded me of Finland!).  Kayaking in the middle of the clean lake was such a refreshing experience, not to mention that the sun was out just enough to make the water sparkle.  On the second day, we hiked the Catbells Walk near Keswick and drove a bit around the northern lakes.
