The last days of my British summer (seeing as the weather hasn't been nice since May) were spent at the Lake District, where, if you missed the post, we stayed at a little bunker in the mountains and did some hiking and kayaking along with my cousin who's in town for a couple months.
When I got home I had a bit of revision to do but luckily not without some meet ups with friends...
Jess and I also took some preppy photos at Magdalen College and explored the little alleyways that we most definitely weren't supposed to be in... you can check out the post from Magdalen here.
My friend Kumbirai and I love the TV show "Portrait Artist of the Year," and we saw that they were filming it at a gallery in London so we headed down to see the competition! I loved the gallery they filmed in, The Wallace Collection, and it was so cool to see how they shoot the show.
Last April I did a little birthday haul at & Other Stories (basically my new favourite brand), and I had been waiting for an opportunity (and a location) to shoot in my new dress until I found a meadow to sit in. Yeah, not the ideal beach location that I would have wanted... but I love how the photos turned out anyway.
June is the month of university open days for 2017 prospective students (aka me), and I had planned to go to quite a few of them (UCL, Kings, Durham etc.) but I only ended up at Bristol University. The open day definitely left a good impression and it was such a lovely day out with friends!
I also did a collaboration with House of Fraser and opened a giveaway to win a £30 gift card! There's still one day left to enter, see more details here.
As of late I've just been studying Chemistry and planning the rest of my summer-- festivals, day trips, camp, and a month-long holiday to the States are in the works :)
Have a great weekend!
xo,
Emma
